A Last First
Carson and Owen had their last first day of preschool in their lives. Kind of sad (for mommy.) The boys were so excited to start preschool. We got to meet their teacher on Wednesday then they got to go to preschool for real on Friday. They had a great day! I only had one child cry this year at drop-off. Not Carson. Not Owen, but Stella. She was so sad to see her big brothers go to preschool. Isaac was a little sad, too. Stella cried when the boys walked into their classroom and all the way to the van in the parking lot. She cried for them during our walk and again after watching Dora. I think it was the longest two and a half hours of her life. We even asked the lead teacher if Stella could join her brothers in class this year. She got denied. That of course brought on more tears.
Carson and Owen walked right into their classroom like they owned the joint. This year they did turn and wave good-bye to me as they walked in their room. They made a point to tell Stella and Isaac 'bye as well. So sweet. I have a good feeling about this preschool year. I know they are going to learn a lot while having fun. It is so bittersweet seeing them grow up. (Tear.)
