The big boys have been taking a class at the zoo this week. Everyday they come home with a handmade project and lots and lots of things to tell Carson and I. Tuesday night after Carson got home from work he asked the boys how "zoo school" was. Carson's response was the usual, "good." Owen on the other hand had an ear full for Carson and I. Owen informed us that he picked up an elephant and threw it in the flamingo pond. He, of course, says this with a straight face. Carson and I are amazed with our son's strength but are so impressed that Owen also picked up a rhino and threw it in the flamingo pond as well. What a kid!

We've been busy
It's been so long since my last post. The Wrights have been so busy it seems. Memorial Day weekend we went to Nebraska to the lake. It was so much fun and the weather was beautiful. Carson and Owen did lots and lots of fishing. Oddly enough they didn't catch a thing. Maybe next time we will actually put a hook on their poles. We returned to Wichita for three days then went back to Nebraska for Mimi's (my mom) retirement party the following weekend.
Isaac and Stella are now 17 months old. Both are doing well. Isaac finally gave into the pressure and began to walk. Stella has been walking for months, but not Zeke. He was holding out on his poor mother. It is fun seeing how Isaac and Stella interact with one another. The twin bond is strong! Stella loves saying "Zekee" along with several other words. Other than walking, Isaac still loves throwing and chasing after balls. (He plays fetch with himself.)
Yesterday Carson, Owen and myself were in the front yard playing. Out of the blue Carson tells me he wants his training wheels off his bike. I resist, knowing that he isn't quite ready, nor is his bike a good bike to learn on (no brakes and it doesn't allow the boys to coast.) But, being the strong willed child he can be, I take the training wheels off Carson's bike. Before too long Owen wants his off. Soon after the training wheel removal the neighbor girls Addie and Kylie are over. Kylie being the big five, almost six, year old that she is pushes Carson and Owen on their bikes, gives them pointers and is a great cheer leader for them as they try to ride on two wheels. Carson caught on quite nicely. Owen still needs a little more practice, but I know he will catch on very soon.
