This and that... all in a flash!

I blinked and all this happened.

Carson and Owen turned 8.



We took a “birthday” trip to Kansas City and got to see a Royals game.



Summer ended.



School Started.


Soccer started and ended.

Flag football season came and went.


And finally, Carson got four stitches in his chin.

Four Feet

Our house has grown by four feet!

The last two times this has happened I had given birth to twins. This is not the case.

We got a dog!  Apparently, this is just what our family needed. 

Welcome Macy to the Wright house. Macy is a GoldenDoodle. She is 3/4 Golden Retriever and 1/4 Poodle. Macy is full of life and adventure. She is now six months old and 45 pounds. Macy has bonded well with all the kids yet it seems as if she and Isaac really have an extra special bond.  

Para"sheet"ing

Last week I had my older boys strip their beds so I could change their bedding. They did it with out complaining. Before I knew it, my younger twins started bothering me about changing their bedding, too. According to them it wasn't "fair" that they didn't get new sheets on their beds, too.

This seemed a little odd to me. When have the kids ever cared about getting clean sheets on their beds?
Silly me. The kids were not excited about getting clean sheets on their beds. They wanted their fitted sheets off their beds so they could run around the house with them.

The older boys began parachuting down the stairs. I did my motherly duties by informing the boys that bed sheets are not parachutes and they won't be able to really soar through the air with them. Of course they had already figured this out. They also figured out that if you hold a fitted bed sheet over your head and run through the house it's lots and LOTS of fun! My clever little kids kept saying they were para"sheet"ing! All four kids parasheeted all day and all night.

It was fun watching the kids running around the house, even if they did knock down just about everything off a shelf and counter top with the bedsheets while running through the house.

It was funny when I'd hear the kids declare it was time for a break. An arm break.  

I love my creative kids! 

A pair of 5's

My babies are five. Five! How and when did this happen? It seems as if my younger two are getting bigger at a much faster rate than their older twin brothers. I'm not liking it.

Stella and Isaac turned five on January 02. It was a fun day. They woke to their birthday tables decorated with presents, party hats, and cake. The kids (all four kids) got to have as many pieces of cake for breakfast that they wanted. If you know me, you know how hard this is for me to allow. But, hey, we only have kid birthdays two days a year.

Stella and Ike had preschool on their birthday. I've never had a child have to go to school on their birthday before. Who knew it was so much fun? They took birthday treats of homemade suckers and Batman cupcakes to share with their classmates. Later that night we went out of for dinner then came home to open one more present that the UPS man delivered right as we got home.

The following weekend the kids got to celebrate turning five with their friends. We went to Pure Entertainment, an inflatable jump house type of place. This was the perfect place to let the kids run like crazy and get all hopped up on sweets. Thank you to all who came to make the birthday party extra special and so much fun.
  

       

Santa and a Christmas Program

We love Santa! He makes us all happy.




Stella and Isaac sang their little hearts out at their final preschool Christmas program. It's always so entertaining to watch the little ones perform.

Snowball fight!

If there is snow our kids boys will play, and play, and play. The boys couldn't get enough of the snow we got. Unfortunately, because of where we live it is usually short lived. Stella liked the snow, but not enough to want to play in it all day with her brothers. She lasted about five minutes in the snow then decided being inside where it's warm is a much better deal. She's got it figured out.
